Sustainable Development Association (SDA) is a British non-profit organisation providing sustainable development through trade development activities using an integrated systemic approach. SDA was established in 2003 in response to a growing demand from Asian and European organisations for a intermediary body to bridge the linguistic, cultural and geographical divide between the two regions. The challenge of implementing technical assistance activities involving specialists in the two regions was often too great for organisations unaccustomed to operating in the international arena. SDA overcomes these logistical challenges, operating on a cross cutting basis to provide organisational support to the implementation of technical assistance and capacity builidng projects. A multi-lingual team and offices in both Europe and Asia facilitate the smooth organisation of a wide range of activities including conferences, workshops, pilot projects and studies that are carried out in partnership with government bodies, industry associations, academic institutions and chambers of commerce.
